About Poem
In the middle of nowhere, In the province of Alberta, Lives a writer With fair skin and long red hair. She lives in a castle-- Crowded with books, dogs, & rabbits- Surrounded by a moat and A field full of cars. She sits at a desk, Tapping away On her Glowing scheming machine. She carries a cup, Full of hot liquid mud That she spills on herself Every time she wears white. So BEWARE of the fiery haired writer Who lives in a castle, Brewing up a batch Of fantastical stories! On the Way to Somewhere…
Each morning I wake To the possibilities– A monster, a tower, a far off place… But what do you do When the doubt seems true And the princess is in the tower And the monster has the power? Laugh don’t cry Tell your doubt goodbye March down that tower Make that monster cower When the light goes on You’ll know that you have won Clear the webs from your head And you’ll see the road ahead You’re on the way to somewhere You’ll know when you get there Just never lose sight And write, write, write! *Dedicated to those who have ever doubted themselves. |
